Spiritus: A Marianist Lay Community (legally called “Queen of Apostles Community Social Justice Initiative”) was formed in January 2024 and is a Catholic Marianist lay faith community.
The Spiritus faith community is a community of disciples deeply rooted in love that is part of the Marianist family. The Marianist Family includes the brothers and priests of the Society of Mary, the Daughters of Mary Immaculate – who are more commonly known as the Marianist Sisters – and lay women and men who are committed to the Marianist charism. We passionately pursue social justice and practice radical hospitality to create an inclusive community open to all who seek belonging and accompaniment.
Spiritus, which is a non-profit corporation, exists to support the Spiritus community of faith and its priority social justice activities, including but not limited to: gathering together as a community of faith for prayer, song and reflection, providing aid for homeless shelters, environmental education programs, and opportunities for Eucharistic celebrations with Catholic priests.
